hehe ;) Where did you find the Russian card? When I was a child, I had a Russian Lunar rover toy, with two kids cosmonauts inside who looked exactly like the kid on the card. "С Новым годом!" means "Happy New Year!" :) Joyful holidays to you too!

i understand "Деда Мороза" means "Father Freeze" (?). Someone told me he was a nice, non-religious holiday figure acceptable to the communist authorities. Back in those days.

Дед Мороз means Grandfather Frost (smtimes Father Frost). Деда Мороза is a genitive or accusative case in Russian.
He comes to children with his granddaughter 'Snegourochka' (The Snow Maiden).
