talking dirty

so i just happened to be watching an episode of the show "extras", with ricky gervais, and his friend was explaining how her new man likes to talk dirty with her, and she's not sure how to handle the situation. so that got me wondering if there were any bits of info online about "how to talk dirty with your lover", and perhaps some interesting suggestions that hadn't ever occurred to me previously. so i start surfing, and i stumble upon this absolutely BRILLIANT little pointer : While your mouth utters really sexy words and praises for your partner, easily caress her and do the things that will excite her more like using a really nice jam or wine to spread on her body and lick it from there. wait a minute...........use a REALLY NICE JAM???????? hahaha! are you kidding me??????????? i just about spit my tea out!!!!! i can picture it now : "hang on a minute love, i just want to go get that jar of posh preserves we got down at the farmers market last weekend" and what if your mate doesn't like gooseberry confiture? what do you substitute? caramalised onions in a bechamel sauce? are THEY allowed to request different toppings? are YOU? "since i am tossing your salad, shall i just nip out to the larder and get you some salad cream?"

random thought #1

not sure what made me think of this just now, but......... why is it that over here (in canada and the US), we say that we are going to the gas station, when we are actually going to the liquid station? in many other places in the world, people say that they are going to the "petrol" station. that makes mores sense, since they are supposedly going to buy petroleum. we obviously must be shortening the word "gasoline", so in THIS case it actually makes more sense, since it is a product DERIVED from petroleum. this would make the rest of the world wrong, because they are actually not filling up with petroleum, but gasoline. i just think it sounds odd that people say "put gas in the car", since that is obviously not the case.........

16 in canada

. while sniffing around my usual list of sites the other day, i stumbled across a great cover version of a tune that i really like, and thought i would share it with you, with the sincere hope that you would enjoy listening to it as much as i have..... it is a cover of the song "age of consent", is originally by new order, and is better than the original, IMHO. (although there is a great remix of the original by a trip-hop artist named howie b). from time to time, i will try to post songs here that i like, and keep them up here for a little while. let me know what you think, otherwise i won't know what to post, and may just end up posting stuff that nobody cares about....... anyway, here is the link. friends that blog

here's a couple of places that i frequently visit : 1 - http://ronwilkeskrell.blogspot.com/ this blog was put together by a very good friend, (and a couple of others), and i find it to be quite entertaining whenever they manage to post something. always something creative to look at or chime in on. 2 - http://dressingroomwalls.blogspot.com/ this blog was started by another excellent friend, and is a visual storybook of various graffito installations that he has seen while on tour across the planet with random bands. good for a chuckle. by the way, if "cut and paste" is not one of your strengths, you can find the direct links on the left side of your screen. not IMMEDIATELY to the left. up at the top. ish. .

. this photo pretty much sums up things really nicely. . . i realised that i might know some people who could use an upgrade in this department, but mostly it is ME who could use a slight recalibration. .

interesting music

. EDIT : this video was down for a while, because it got removed from youtube. but i found it again, under a different name, and re-linked it, so it is working now. sorry if you tried to watch it previously, and it didn't work. (b) this guy here... ...... is klaus nomi, an artist with an incredible voice, but he is a very strange man. i was just surfing around today and discovered him, and fell in love with his music. inevitably, i decided to do some more research online about the man, and through my usual searching, i found a video of him with david bowie, performing on saturday night live, and all i can say is : "ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!" if you watch the video, you will see klaus on the left of the screen in black, (immediately to david's right), but pay particular attention to the vocals he and his friend add to the performance. it is almost haunting, and much better than the original version. if anyone knows where i can get a proper audio copy of this version of the song, you are under every obligation to let me know how to get it............. anyway - check it!
